Colorado Consumer Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
This Colorado Consumer Policy supplements the CelinieJourney Privacy Policy and explains privacy rights and disclosures that may apply to Colorado residents under the Colorado Privacy Act and related rules (collectively, the "CPA").
This policy applies to Colorado residents when they interact with CelinieJourney in an individual or household context, such as browsing our website, placing an order, creating or using a customer account, contacting customer service, submitting a form, requesting an appointment, or otherwise using our website and related services (collectively, the "Services").
This policy does not apply to information that is outside the scope of the CPA, such as certain employment-related, business-to-business, publicly available, deidentified, or legally exempt information.
Relationship to Our Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy describes the categories of personal information we may collect, the purposes for which we use it, the categories of sources, the categories of third parties with whom we may share information, and how we protect and retain information.
This Colorado Consumer Policy provides additional information for Colorado consumers where Colorado law gives specific rights or requires specific disclosures. If there is a conflict between this policy and our Privacy Policy for a Colorado consumer, this policy will apply to the extent required by Colorado law.
Colorado Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, Colorado residents may have the right to:
- Confirm processing: Confirm whether we are processing personal data about you.
- Access: Request access to personal data we process about you.
- Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal data, considering the nature of the personal data and the purposes for processing it.
- Delete: Request deletion of personal data that we process about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Data portability: Request a copy of certain personal data in a portable and readily usable format, where required by law.
- Opt out: Opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or certain types of profiling that produce legal or similarly significant effects, where applicable.
How to Submit a Colorado Privacy Request
To submit a Colorado privacy request, please contact us at legal@celiniejourney.com or through our Contact Us page.
Please include enough information for us to verify your identity and locate your account, order, or interaction with CelinieJourney, such as your name, email address, order number if applicable, state of residence, and the privacy right you would like to exercise.
If we cannot verify your identity or connect your request to information we maintain, we may ask for additional information or may be unable to complete the request.
Authorized Agents
You may use an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf where permitted by Colorado law. We may request proof that the agent is authorized to act for you, and we may also ask you to verify your identity directly with us where permitted by law.
Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms and Global Privacy Control
Colorado law recognizes certain universal opt-out mechanisms that allow consumers to communicate privacy choices automatically through a browser, browser extension, device setting, or similar tool. Where required by law and technically feasible, CelinieJourney will honor recognized universal opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), for Colorado residents.
GPC and similar signals may apply to the browser or device sending the signal. If you use multiple browsers or devices, you may need to enable the signal separately on each one. You may also review additional options on our Your Privacy Choices page.
Sale of Personal Data and Targeted Advertising
CelinieJourney does not sell personal data for money. However, some privacy laws may define "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising broadly enough to include certain advertising, analytics, tracking, retargeting, or data-sharing activities involving cookies, pixels, advertising identifiers, or similar technologies.
Where applicable, Colorado residents may opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or certain profiling activities by using privacy tools available on our website, enabling a recognized universal opt-out mechanism such as GPC, visiting our Your Privacy Choices page, adjusting cookie/browser settings, or contacting us at legal@celiniejourney.com.
Sensitive Data
CelinieJourney does not seek to collect sensitive personal data unless it is necessary for a specific customer interaction, legal requirement, security purpose, accessibility request, fraud prevention need, or customer service issue. Sensitive data may include information that reveals certain protected characteristics, precise geolocation, biometric identifiers used for identification, children's data, or other data defined as sensitive under applicable law.
Where Colorado law requires consent before processing sensitive data, we will seek consent or rely on another legally permitted basis. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless we specifically request it through an appropriate channel.
Children's Personal Data
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact legal@celiniejourney.com so we can review the request.
Data Minimization and Purpose Limitation
We aim to collect and process personal data that is reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including order processing, payment, shipping, customer support, returns, exchanges, warranty review, account features, fraud prevention, website operation, analytics, advertising, legal compliance, and business operations.
We do not intend to use personal data for purposes that are incompatible with the disclosed purposes unless we obtain consent or are otherwise permitted by law.
Appealing a Privacy Request Decision
If we decline to take action on a Colorado privacy request, you may appeal our decision by contacting legal@celiniejourney.com. Please include "Colorado Privacy Appeal" in your message and explain why you believe our decision should be reconsidered.
We will review appeals according to applicable Colorado law. If your appeal is denied, we will provide information about any further options required by law, which may include contacting the Colorado Attorney General.
Non-Discrimination
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights available under Colorado law. We will not deny goods or services, charge a different price, provide a different quality of goods or services, or retaliate because you exercised a Colorado privacy right, except where a difference is reasonably related to the value or functionality of the data involved or otherwise permitted by law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to help protect personal data. No website, ecommerce platform, payment system, shipping tool, email system, or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Policy Updates
We may update this Colorado Consumer Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our privacy practices, Shopify settings, advertising tools, recognized universal opt-out mechanisms, legal requirements, or business operations. When we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
